- Introduction
As part of the Union Customs Code (UCC) Work Programme, Revenue, working collaboratively with traders and software companies, deployed NCTS-P5 on 26 February 2024.
- Updated NCTS Migration
Since this deployment, we have processed electronic transit declarations where Ireland is acting as the country of departure, destination, or transit. However, a number of technical issues have been identified and these are now currently being addressed with our IT provider.
In light of this, Revenue has decided to extend the migration window to facilitate trade in the move from NCTS-P4 to NCTS-P5 until 08 September 2024.
Revenue will continue its engagement with traders to facilitate and support them to ensure they will be fully operational in NCTS-P5 by the end of the migration window of 08 September 2024. We encourage trade to migrate to NCTS P5 well in advance of this end date. Trader testing of NCTS-P5
functionality is available in our test environment (PIT).
- Further NCTS-P5 Functionality
We will be deploying the ‘export followed by transit’ functionality later this year. Therefore, traders moving goods under the ‘export followed by transit’ procedure must continue to submit the required IE507 and IE590 messages in AES until further notice. For RoRo movements the transit MRN and all associated export MRNs should continue to be included in the Pre-Boarding Notification (PBN).
