GDS is a state-of-the-art handheld software solution that enables companies involved in the movement of goods to record transactional information at the time of delivery or collection. Accepting planned and ad-hoc delivery and collection information from your ERP solution, this highly configurable handheld solution, using latest industry-standard technology, allows for the recording of all transactional information at the time of the delivery or collection. The information recorded is then uploaded to your ERP solution - all in a real-time environment!

Key functionality includes:

Delivering cost-effective communication

  • Deliveries and Collections downloaded to handheld via GPRS network (mobile phone technology) / Cradle
  • Secure password-controlled driver login
  • Driver sees list of jobs to be completed with delivery instructions and any special instructions relating to the job. E.g., Collect Cheque, COD amount, etc.
  • Driver completes optional Truck/Trailer checklist prior to receiving list of jobs.
  • Ad hoc Collections get added to list of jobs as required and handheld is updated accordingly
  • On successful completion of a job a customer signature is captured with date and time stamp.
  • Failed deliveries are captured with reason, date and time stamp.
